Vernon Jones is nothing more than a liberal conman
Accused of Rape
As DeKalb County’s CEO, Vernon Jones was credibly accused of rape. She claims that Jones forcibly held her down, and she told him, “No. No. What are you doing? No. Stop. No.” (1)
Supporting Obama & Betraying Conservatives
Actual Jones Mailer Paid for by His Campaign
Fake Republican Vernon Jones wants you to think he’s a conservative, but Jones supported Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 (2) for President. He’s personally donated thousands to liberal Democrats (3) and voted for liberal Democrats for the last two decades – including in the 2020 Primary! (2).
Having served as a Democrat in the State House for 12+ years, as the Democrat CEO of DeKalb County, and a Democrat voting history for three decades, it’s no surprise he has a failing 38.5% lifetime voting score from the Faith & Freedom Coalition.
Pro-Abortion Liberal
Liberal Vernon is Planned Parenthood’s best friend in Georgia. As a legislator, he voted against the Heartbeat Bill twice (4). He said he would replace Republicans with pro-abortion Democrats if he ever became Speaker of the House, and boldly declared, “abortion should always be legal.” (4)
Minnesota-Style “Culture of Corruption”
A grand jury report found that, as the Democrat DeKalb County CEO, Vernon Jones ran a corruption racket that included taking kickbacks, lying under oath, patronage, and faking county contracts to funnel money to his Democrat allies. (5). To make matters worse, Jones opposed ethics reform that would have further exposed his behavior.
Pushing Anti-Whiteness & DEI
Radical leftist Vernon Jones called for a “darker administration” as DeKalb County CEO in a “wholesale plan to replace white county managers with African Americans”. He was sued and forced to pay $180,000 after being found guilty by a jury, and the Judge who ruled against him said he “devised the plan and monitored its execution.”
Accused of using a gun to threaten
a woman in her home.
Vernon Jones has “a long history of problematic behavior toward women,” including an incident where he was accused of threatening a woman with a gun. (7). Jones “routinely engaged in ‘monopolizing, aggressive conversations, physical intimidation and bullying’ aimed mostly at female colleagues. (7)
